About the Impact Gala
The WASH Foundation presents our Inaugural Impact Gala in Orlando, Florida, on Thursday, October 24th, at 6:00 p.m. EST at the Hilton Orlando, honoring outstanding champions of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), celebrating the organization’s impact and accomplishments, and shining a spotlight on our current programs and priorities.
The evening’s program will feature several awards, including The Luis Spitz Excellence Award, which honors the dedication and legacy of those who have demonstrated their commitment to our mission. The award recognizes recipients who embody the true spirit of sustainability, value resilience, and work toward transforming the lives of the underserved, as well as a legacy of partnership with The WASH Foundation. Luis Spitz, whom the award is named after, was the epitome of all these attributes. Mr. Spitz was the “Godfather of Soap” and the chief donor to The WASH Foundation’s soap museum. It is an honor to dedicate this award in his name.

About The WASH Foundation
The WASH Foundation, an evolution of Clean the World Foundation, is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to improve the quality of life of communities worldwide by promoting enhanced access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), as well as soap, and hygiene education. The WASH Foundation partners with local governments and nongovernmental organizations to strengthen communities’ policies, systems, and infrastructure for future generations.
Since its establishment in 2009, The WASH Foundation has helped serve over 15 million people, provided disaster relief supplies to 1.5 million people, and distributed almost 85 million bars of soap and 5 million hygiene and comfort kits.
